Grey's Anatomy star Justin Chambers says he misses working with Katherine Heigl on the show.
Chambers, 39, plays the role of Dr Alex Karev in the ABC TV series and he says he misses Heigl, 31, after she recently quit the show.
Speaking at the Maui Film Festival, he said: 'She's such a great actor. She's so fun to work off of. I miss working with her.'
Chambers added that his on-screen character Alex's relationship with Heigl's character Izzie will be remembered in TV history.
He said: 'I think that's a couple on television that people will always remember. There's not much Alex without her. I think he'll be mourning Izzie for the next two seasons.'

Katherine Heigl is urging the public to help bring animal abusers to justice after she helped save a dog who had been cruelly treated by its owner. The dog was discovered with its legs tied together in a muddy field i n Bakersfield, Calif., on April 10.
James Worley, 52, has since been arrested and faces a possible charge of felony animal cruelty.
The Pit Bull, named England after the animal control officer w ho saved him, Kristen England, was placed in a new home Wednesday, thanks to The Heigl Foundation.
The actress held a press conference revealing she will be working in conjunction with Last Chance For Animals to prevent animal cruelty. Heigl will be offering rewards through the foundation to those who come forward with information on animal abusers.

Katherine Heigl will get to live every movie star's dream of never growing old in "The Age of Adaline."
The epic love story, which is eyeing an October start date, centers on a young woman, born at the turn of 20th century, who is rendered ageless after an accident. After years of a solitary life, she meets a man who might be worth losing her immortality.
The producers, Lakeshore Entertainment and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment, are out to directors and talent, including actors for the male lead.
Heigl next stars opposite Ashton Kutcher in "Killers," which Lionsgate opens June 4, and recently wrapped the comedy-drama "Life as We Know It" for Gold Circle and Warner Bros.

Actress Katherine Heigl has recently said that she has learned that she will have to sacrifice her alone time with hubby Josh Kelley, because of her adopted baby girl Naleigh. And the reason – Naleigh threw up on her lingerie while she was trying to be intimate.
As reported by Sophie Eager over at nationalledger.com, the actress spoke to Harper’s Bazaar quite recently, and said: “If parent time interferes with sexy time, that’s that. Now it’s time to re-evaluate and grow up…. Enough with the drama.”
In other news, Heigl has spoken about her daughter’s open heart surgery recently, and said that Naleigh is 100 percent fine. 31-year old Heigl adopted the little girl from Korea last year, but Naleigh had to have the operation before she left the country.
At first they said that Naleigh had special needs, but it was then discovered that she had congenital heart disease, which was put right by the surgery last year. Katherine said: “She has a scar, so she won’t be wearing bikinis, which is fine by us.”
