Katherine Heigl isn’t proud of some her habits.
In an interview with InStyle magazine, the “Grey’s Anatomy” actress and star of the upcoming movie “The Ugly Truth,” says she is “ashamed” of herself for continuing to smoke, adding that “it’s so stupid.”
But one thing Heigl, 30, doesn’t feel any shame for his expressing her opinions – even when it gives her a bad reputation.
"I've got this moniker that I'm the foot-in-mouth gal, and I keep thinking, 'In what way?'” she said. “Because I said something you don't agree with? Because I said something you don't like? I'm just telling you my opinion. I hate the idea that I can't be honest about how I feel about things because it's going to piss somebody off who feels differently. That seems preposterous to me."

Katherine Heigl has been the subject of controversy when it comes to her status on Grey's Anatomy but she hasn't exactly been forthcoming about the direction of her career and personal life. In an interview with UK Marie Claire, in which she appears on the cover of the August 2009 issue, the 30-year-old actress speaks about her relationship with husband Josh Kelley and her take on doing romantic comedies.
"Josh and I didn't live together before we were married because I wanted to hang on to those last days of my single-girl pad as long as I could. I'm not going to lie - it was rough when we finally moved in together. It's the simple stuff everyone talks about. I like things neat, he leaves things everywhere," the Grey's Anatomy actress revealed to Marie Claire.

Bringing an end to their Caribbean vacation, Katherine Heigl and husband Josh Kelley prepared to depart from Nassau International Airport on Tuesday (July 7).
The cute couple walked along with Josh tending to the luggage, fresh off of a romantic stay at the luxurious Atlantis Cove resort.

And the island getaway is just what the doctor ordered, as Miss Heigl will soon be getting into promotional mode for her soon-to-be-released movie “The Ugly Truth” - which hits theaters on July 24.
Co-starring Gerard Butler, the film is about “a romantically challenged morning show producer (Heigl) who’s reluctantly embroiled in a series of outrageous tests by her chauvinistic correspondent (Butler) to prove his theories on relationships and help her find love.”

Ugly Truth star Katherine Heigl has admitted she has an opinion on everything – and that no topic is off-limits. Heigl, 30, is married to musician Josh Kelley, and is known for her no-hold-barred comments.
Asked if there's anything she won't comment on, she said: "Nothing, actually, though people misunderstand that. Lately, I've been getting a lot of c**p from people thinking I shouldn't have an opinion.” But the Grey’s Anatomy star admitted that despite being outspoken, she cannot bear the thought of people disliking her.

"I want everyone to love me, I'm a girl – I want everyone to think I'm great," she said. The former model is best known on the big screen for her rom-com roles in movies such as Knocked Up and 27 Dresses, and admitted that she is happy making feel-good films for the time being.
She said: "I know I'm catching some c**p for it, but I really like doing them. People keep asking me if I want to do anything more serious… and I do, but I'm not quite there yet.”
